1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
6 for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, to meet the
7 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Historic Preservation
8 Agency:

17 may be necessary, is appropriated to from the General Revenue
18 Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency to computerize
19 survey files used in regulatory review and compliance and
20 National Register programs.
21 Section 3b. The sum of $75,000, or so much thereof as
22 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Historic
23 Sites Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for awards and
24 grants for historic preservation programs made either
25 independently or in cooperation with the Federal Government
26 or any agency thereof, any municipal corporation, or
27 political subdivision of the State, or with any public or
28 private corporation, organization, or individual.
29 Section 3c. The sum of $125,000, or so much thereof as
30 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of
31 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations and

1 reappropriations heretofore made in Article 78, Sections 3a
2 and 3b of Public Act 90-0585, as amended, is reappropriated
3 from the Illinois Historic Sites Fund to the Historic
4 Preservation Agency for awards and grants for historic
5 preservation programs made either independently or in
6 cooperation with the Federal Government or any agency
7 thereof, any municipal corporation, or political subdivision
8 of the State, or with any public or private corporation,
9 organization, or individual.

18 Section 6. The sum of $600,000, or so much thereof as
19 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Historic
20 Sites Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for
21 operations, maintenance, repairs, permanent improvements,
22 special events, and all other costs related to the operation
23 of Illinois Historic Sites and only to the extent which
24 donations are received at Illinois State Historic Sites.
25 Section 7. The sum of $438,400, or so much thereof as
26 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of
27 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations heretofore
28 made in Article 78, Section 9 of Public Act 90-0585, is
29 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Historic
30 Preservation Agency for the restoration of the Jarrot
31 Mansion.

1 Section 8. The amount of $230,400, or so much thereof as
2 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
3 business on June 30, 1999, from a reappropriation heretofore
4 made for such purpose in Article 91, Section 6.4 of Public
5 Act 90-0585, is reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund
6 to the Historic Preservation Agency for planning a new
7 historical library and Lincoln Center.
8 Section 9. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may
9 be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of
10 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations heretofore
11 made in Article 78, Section 11 of Public Act 90-0585 is
12 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Historic
13 Preservation Agency for a grant to the Fox River Trolley
14 Museum for all costs associated with the extension of the
15 museum railway.
16 Section 10. The sum of $1,430,000, or so much thereof as
17 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of
18 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations heretofore
19 made in Article 78, Section 19 of Public Act 90-0585 is
20 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Historic
21 Preservation Agency for a grant to the Mid South Planning and
22 Development Commission for the restoration of the Overton
23 Hygenic Building.
24 Section 11. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as
25 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of
26 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations heretofore
27 made in Article 78, Section 27 of Public Act 90-0585 is
28 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Historic
29 Preservation Agency for a grant to Gallatin County for the
30 purchase of the Crenshaw House.

1 Section 12. The amounts appropriated for repairs and
2 maintaintance and other capital improvements in Section 5 for
3 repairs and/or replacements, and miscellaneous capital
4 improvements at the agency's various historical sites, and
5 are to include construction, reconstruction, improvements,
6 repairs and installation of capital facilities, costs of
7 planning, supplies, materials, and all other types of repairs
8 and maintenance, and capital improvements.
9 No contract shall be entered into or obligation incurred
10 for repairs and maintenance and other capital improvements
11 from appropriations made in Section 5 of this Article until
12 after the purposes and amounts have been approved in writing
13 by the Governor.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
15 July 1, 1999.
