1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
6 for the ordinary and contingent expenses to the Illinois
7 Commerce Commission:

30 Section 4. The sum of $8,000,000, or so much thereof as
31 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation
32 Regulatory Fund to the Illinois Commerce Commission for

1 disbursing funds collected for the Single State Insurance
2 Registration Program to be distributed to: (1) participating
3 states, provided that no distributions exceed funds made
4 available from registration collections; and (2) for refunds
5 for overpayments.
6 Section 5. The sum of $1,314,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation
8 Regulatory Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in
9 monitoring railroad crossing safety.
10 Section 6. The sum of $1,400,000, or so much thereof as
11 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Public Utility
12 Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in
13 implementing the Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate
14 Relief Law of 1997.
15 Section 7. The sum of $426,800, or so much thereof as
16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
17 Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in
18 implementing a consumer education program regarding the
19 Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate Relief Law of 1997.
20 Section 8. The sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as may
21 be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation
22 Regulatory Fund to the Illinois Commerce Commission for the
23 cost of activities for the Illinois Chapter of the Great
24 Lakes Regional Safety Forum in Illinois to promote commercial
25 motor vehicle safety.
26 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
27 July 1, 1999.
