 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2605

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2605 as follows:

 3    on  page  1,  line  1,  by  replacing  "River-Friendly"  with
 4    "Rivers-Friendly"; and

 5    on  page  1,  line  6,  by  replacing  "River-Friendly"  with
 6    "Rivers-Friendly"; and

 7    on  page  1,  line  8,  by  replacing  "River-Friendly"  with
 8    "Rivers-Friendly"; and

 9    on page 1, below line 14, by inserting the following:

10        "Section  15.  A  farmer  seeking  the   "Rivers-Friendly
11    Farmer"  designation  may submit a written application to the
12    Department of Agriculture or  an  agency  designated  by  the
13    Department by rule."; and

14    on  page  1, line 15, by replacing "Section 15" with "Section
15    20"; and

16    on page 1, line 24, by replacing "highly erodible land"  with
17    "crop land"; and

18    on   page  1,  line  25,  after  "level",  by  inserting  the
19    following:

 1    "in accordance with the State's Erosion and Sediment  Control
 2    Guidelines"; and

 3    on page 1, line 26, after "are", by inserting the following:
 4    "consistent  with  the  Illinois Agronomy Handbook guidelines
 5    and are"; and

 6    on page 2, line 6, by replacing "300" with "200"; and

 7    on page 2, by deleting lines 16 and 17; and

 8    on page 2, line 18, by replacing "Section 20"  with  "Section
 9    25".
