 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2648

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  2648  on  page  1,
 3    line  12, by replacing "or" with "or, beginning with the 1999
 4    assessment year,"; and

 5    on page 2, below line 24, by inserting the following:

 6        "Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
 7    becoming law.".
