 1        AN  ACT  in  relation  to  exemptions  from real property
 2    taxes, amending named Acts.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.  The  State Mandates Act is amended by adding
 6    Section 8.24 as follows:

 7        (30 ILCS 805/8.24 new)
 8        Sec. 8.24. Exempt mandate.   Notwithstanding  Sections  6
 9    and  8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required
10    for  the  implementation  of  any  mandate  created  by  this
11    amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly.

12        Section 10. The Property Tax Code is  amended  by  adding
13    Section 15-185 as follows:

14        (35 ILCS 200/15-185 new)
15        Sec.   15-185.   Fraternal   organization  property.  All
16    property used primarily  for  charitable  or  civic  purposes
17    belonging  to  a  fraternal  organization  that  is an exempt
18    organization under Section 501(c)(8) of the Internal  Revenue
19    Code of 1986.
