 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3869

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3869 on page 2,  by
 3    replacing lines 23 through 26 with the following:
 4        "(i)  A  pilot  program  shall  be established within the
 5    Department at a facility or institution  built  on  or  after
 6    January  1,  2001  and  designated  by  the Director in which
 7    committed persons shall be prohibited from the possession  of
 8    cigarettes  and  other  tobacco  products.  The  Director may
 9    prohibit the".
