1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 ARTICLE 1
5 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
8 State Lottery Fund to meet the ordinary and contingent
9 expenses of the Department of the Lottery, including
10 operating expenses related to Multi-State Lottery games
11 pursuant to the Illinois Lottery Law:

14 Section 2. The sum of $290,000,000, or so much thereof
15 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Lottery
16 Fund to the Department of the Lottery, for payment of prizes
17 to holders of winning lottery tickets or shares, including
18 prizes related to Multi-State Lottery games, pursuant to the
19 provisions of the "Illinois Lottery Law".
20 Section 3. The sum of $35,000, or so much thereof as may
21 be necessary, is appropriated from the State Lottery Fund to
22 the Illinois Department of the Lottery, for payment to the
23 Illinois State Police for investigatory services.
24 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
25 July 1, 2000.
