1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to extend their sincere sympathies to
4 the family and friends of Moses Samuel Bilbrew, who recently
5 passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, Moses Samuel Bilbrew was born in Canton,
7 Mississippi, on December 28, 1939; his parents were Ferry
8 Bilbrew and Bernice Mitchell; and
9 WHEREAS, Moses Bilbrew, affectionately known as "Father
10 Goose", confessed a belief in Jesus Christ at an early age
11 and never stopped growing in his religion; in 1943 he moved
12 to Chicago, Illinois, where he completed four years at
13 DuSable High School and one year of college; and
14 WHEREAS, On March 16, 1959 he married Edna Redditt; Mr.
15 Bilbrew worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty-two
16 years until his retirement in 1991; he also worked for the
17 Chicago Transit Authority; Mr. Bilbrew was a devoted husband,
18 father, and grandfather; he liked sports, eating, and having
19 a good time around his loved ones; and
20 WHEREAS, Moses Samuel Bilbrew is survived by his wife,
21 Edna; his children, Darrin (Charee), Harold, and Stephanie;
22 his grandchildren, Cavonne, Arkeya, DaVeoone, Quintez,
23 Dantle, Darrin Jr., Ajl, and Tashai; his great-grandchildren,
24 Shaundrea, Arkalius, and Unique; his father, Berry Bilbrew;
25 his sisters and brothers; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts,
26 uncles, and many friends; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 to the family of Moses Samuel Bilbrew we extend our thoughts
30 in this time of loss; may they find peace and solace in this
31 time of need; and be it further

2 presented to the family of Moses Samuel Bilbrew.
