1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Camille Hatzenbuehler was born and raised on the
3 west side of the City of Chicago; and
4 WHEREAS, Camille Hatzenbuehler was the daughter of the
5 late Harry F. Chaddick; she was the wife of Edwin
6 Hatzenbuehler; she was the mother of Mari and Suzanne; and
7 she was the grandmother of three grandchildren; and
8 WHEREAS, Throughout the 64 years of her life, Camille
9 Hatzenbuehler loved the City of Chicago so much that she
10 became involved in the cultural aspects of the city, and
11 instilled that love in her grandchildren and others, proving
12 to be an inspiration for many; and
13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hatzenbuehler served on the Chicago Public
14 Library Board in the late 1970s and became the president of
15 the board in 1979; and
16 WHEREAS, In her leadership role with the Chicago Public
17 Library, Camille Hatzenbuehler promoted library participation
18 in all aspects of city cultural life, including concerts and
19 architectural tours, in addition to circulation of books and
20 provision of reference information; and
21 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hatzenbuehler was also a dedicated
22 supporter of the Lyric Opera and the Chicago Symphony
23 Orchestra; she also served as a trustee of the Lyric Opera in
24 the 1980s; and
25 WHEREAS, Her faith in God gave Camille Hatzenbuehler her
26 strength to counsel others suffering from cancer; therefore,
27 be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30 we mourn, along with all that knew and loved her, the memory

1 of Camille Hatzenbuehler of Chicago, Illinois; may there be a
2 measure of comfort and solace in this time of need; and be it
3 further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Camille Hatzenbuehler, along with
6 our sincere regards.
