1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Betty
4 Louise Beauchamp, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Betty Louise Beauchamp was born in Joliet,
6 Illinois, on November 3, 1929; she is survived by her
7 husband, Eugene Beauchamp; her daughter, State Representative
8 Wanda J. Sharp and husband, David; her son, Gary Reginald
9 Beauchamp; her son, Ronald Keith Beauchamp and his wife,
10 LaVerne; her daughter, Cheryl Renee Gatewood and her husband,
11 Gregory;her step-children, Delores Beauchamp and Joseph
12 Eugene "Jr" Beauchamp and his wife, Inez; and her special
13 granddaughter, Constance Evette Sharp; and
14 WHEREAS, Betty Louise Beauchamp worked, at different
15 times in her life, for Bransom Clothing Store, Jefferson
16 Electric, Illinois Bell, Chat's Corner, and St. Eulalia Grade
17 School; and
18 WHEREAS, Betty Louise Beauchamp and her husband traveled
19 the world until Mr. Beauchamp's retirement from the United
20 States Army; and
21 WHEREAS, Betty Louise Beauchamp served faithfully at the
22 Second Baptist Church in Maywood, where she was a member of
23 the Junior Choir, Young Peoples Choir, and the Gospel Chorus;
24 she was a Women's Day Captain for 25 years, and helped
25 initiate the Willing Workers Club; and
26 WHEREAS, Betty Louise Beauchamp will be remembered for
27 her willingness to teach children to sing her favorite song,
28 "Jesus Loves Me"; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
31 we mourn, along with all knew her, the death of Betty Louise

1 Beauchamp; may there be a sense of comfort and peace at this
2 time; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Betty Louise Beauchamp, along with
5 our sincere sympathy.
