1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere sympathies to
4 the family and friends of Stanley C. Golder, on his passing;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Stanley C. Golder was born in the Hyde Park area
7 of Chicago; he directed several international venture capital
8 and small business development firms; he was an alumnus of
9 the University of Illinois; and
10 WHEREAS, Stanley C. Golder served as chairman of the
11 National Venture Capital Association and the National
12 Association of Small Business Investment Companies; and
13 WHEREAS, Stanley C. Golder was involved with the American
14 Jewish Committee, the Jewish United Fund, the Golden Apple
15 Foundation, the Highland Park Hospital board, Temple Jeremiah
16 in Northfield, the Hebrew Seminary of the Deaf, and an
17 advisory council at the University of Illinois; and
18 WHEREAS, Stanley C. Golder is survived by his wife, Joan;
19 his daughter, Nancy Northrip; his sons, Kenneth and David; a
20 sister, Marjorie Gilbert; and seven grandchildren; therefore,
21 be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we mourn, along with all who knew him, the death of Stanley
25 C. Golder; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Stanley C. Golder.
