1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere condolences to
4 the family and friends of Colette Lynn Atkins, who recently
5 passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, Colette Lynn Atkins was born on February 7,
7 1953; she was educated at Jacob Beidler Elementary School,
8 Providence High School and Saint Catherine of Sienna High
9 School; and
10 WHEREAS, Colette Lynn Atkins graduated from the Cook
11 County School of Nursing in 1973; she received her Bachelor
12 of Science Degree from The College of Saint Francis of August
13 in 1993; and
14 WHEREAS, Colette Lynn Atkins accepted Jesus Christ as her
15 Savior and joined Original Providence Baptist Church in 1973;
16 she served as a member of the Young Adult Choir and the
17 Sanctuary Choir; and
18 WHEREAS, Colette Lynn Atkins was employed at Provident
19 Hospital; and
20 WHEREAS, The passing of Colette Lynn Atkins will be
21 deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her
22 husband, Louis; her parents, William and Roberta Carothers;
23 her daughter, Dolores Anne; her brothers, Isaac (wife,
24 Sharron), William, Jr., and Anthony (wife, Kathie); her three
25 aunts; her uncle; her great aunts, Mattie Thomas (husband,
26 Sam), and Narcissus Moore; her three nieces; her two nephews;
27 her mother-in-law, Josephine Atkins; her seven
28 sisters-in-law; her brother-in-law; and many cousins and
29 friends; therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
31 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we mourn, along with all who knew her, the death of Colette
2 Lynn Atkins; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Colette Lynn Atkins.
