 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 595

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 595, by  replacing
 3    the title with the following:

 4        "AN  ACT  regarding  appropriations.";  and  by replacing
 5    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 6        "Section 1.  The amount of $300,000, or so  much  thereof
 7    as  may be necessary, is appropriated to the Deaf and Hard of
 8    Hearing Commission from the General Revenue Fund for start-up
 9    expenses of the Commission.

10        Section 9999.  Effective date.   This  Act  takes  effect
11    July 1, 1999.".
