2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 619, by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT regarding appropriations."; and by replacing
5 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
6 "Section 1.1. The following named amounts, or so much
7 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
8 for the objects and purposes hereinafter named to meet the
9 ordinary and contingent expenses of the State Employees'
10 Retirement System:

8 Paid by Employer for Prior Fiscal Year:

10 Section 1.2. The sum of $7,002,200, minus the amount
11 transferred to the State Employees' Retirement System
12 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State
13 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated
14 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the
15 State Employees' Retirement System pursuant to the provisions
16 of Section 8.12 of "An Act in relation to State finance",
17 approved June 10, 1919, as amended.
18 Section 2.1. The sum of $16,473,100, or so much thereof
19 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
20 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Judges' Retirement
21 System for the State's Contribution, as provided by law.
22 Section 2.2. The sum of $1,819,900, minus the amount
23 transferred to the Judges' Retirement System pursuant to
24 continuing appropriation authorized by the State Pensions
25 Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated from the
26 State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Judges'
27 Retirement System pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.12
28 of "An Act in relation to State finance", approved June 10,
29 1919, as amended.
30 Section 3.1. The sum of $3,097,300, or so much thereof

1 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
2 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the General Assembly
3 Retirement System for the State's Contribution, as provided
4 by law.
5 Section 3.2. The sum of $406,700, minus the amount
6 transferred to the General Assembly Retirement System
7 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State
8 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated
9 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the
10 General Assembly Retirement System, pursuant to the
11 provisions of Section 8.12 of "An Act in relation to State
12 finance", approved June 10, 1919, as amended.
13 Section 4.1. The following named amounts, or so much
14 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
15 from the General Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement
16 System for the objects and purposes hereinafter named:
17 For supplementary payments to teachers pursuant
18 to the provisions of Sections 16-135
19 and 16-149.4 of the "Illinois Pension Code",
20 as amended................................... $ 40,000
21 For additional costs due to the establishment
22 of minimum retirement allowances
23 pursuant to Sections 16-136.2 and
24 16-136.3 of the "Illinois
25 Pension Code", as amended.................... 6,400,000
26 Total $6,440,000
27 Section 4.1a. The sum of $44,615,100, minus the amount
28 transferred to the Teachers' Retirement System pursuant to
29 continuing appropriation authorized by the State Pensions
30 Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated from the
31 State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers'

1 Retirement System pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.12
2 of "AN ACT in relation to State finance", approved June 10,
3 1919, as amended.
4 Section 5.1. The sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as
5 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Public School
6 Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago, for
7 supplementary payments as set forth in Sections 17-154,
8 17-155 and 17-156 of the "Illinois Pension Code", approved
9 March 18, 1963, as amended.
10 Section 6.1. The sum of $10,156,100, minus the amount
11 transferred to the State Universities Retirement System
12 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State
13 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated
14 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the
15 State Universities Retirement System of Illinois pursuant to
16 the provisions of Section 8.12 of "AN ACT in relation to
17 State finance", approved June 10, 1919, as amended.
18 Section 9999. Effective date. This Act takes effect
19 July 1, 1999.".
