 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 784

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 784,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    in  subsection  (b)  of  Sec. 103-5 of Section 5, by deleting
 4    "made orally on the record in open court and"; and

 5    in subsection (b) of Sec. 103-5 of Section 5, by deleting  "A
 6    demand  for  trial  is  not  effective  until  all  of  these
 7    conditions are met.".
