 1        AN ACT concerning the Secretary of State.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Secretary  of  State Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 2 as follows:

 6        (15 ILCS 305/2) (from Ch. 124, par. 2)
 7        Sec. 2.  Oath.   The Secretary  of  State  shall,  before
 8    entering  upon  the  duties of his office, take and subscribe
 9    the oath or affirmation prescribed by Article XIII, Section 3
10    of the Constitution, which shall be filed in his office.
