 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1297

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1297  on  page  1,
 3    line 16, before the period, by inserting the following:
 4    ",  but only if the laws of that State authorize residents of
 5    Illinois to be appointed and commissioned as notaries  public
 6    in that State".
