1 AN ACT in relation to the powers and duties of the
2 Department of Agriculture.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil
6 Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Sections
7 205-435 and 205-440 as follows:
8 (20 ILCS 205/205-435 new)
9 Sec. 205-435. Monetary penalties. The Department may
10 establish, by rule, and collect monetary penalties for the
11 failure of a person to pay any fee or penalty required by
12 law to be paid to the Department.
13 (20 ILCS 205/205-440 new)
14 Sec. 205-440. Revocation of licenses, certifications,
15 permits, seals, marks, registrations, or other authorizations
16 to operate. The Department may revoke any license,
17 certification, permit, seal, mark, registration, or other
18 authorization to operate issued by the Department if the
19 person who holds the license, certification, permit, seal,
20 mark, registration, or other authorization to operate fails
21 to pay any fee or penalty required by law to be paid to the
22 Department.
23 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
24 becoming law.
