 1        AN ACT regarding appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  1.  The  sum  of $987,000, or so much thereof as
 5    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
 6    Fund to the Department of Veterans Affairs for a grant to the
 7    American  Battle Monuments Commission for expenses associated
 8    with the construction and maintenance of  the  United  States
 9    World War II Memorial.

10        Section  999.  Effective  date.   This  Act  takes effect
11    immediately upon becoming law.
