1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the recent death of James Houston Brooks Pedro of Chicago;
4 and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Chicago on August 17, 1956;
6 after a long struggle with health battles, he was called to a
7 more peaceful existence; and
8 WHEREAS, He attended Mt. Vernon Elementary School and
9 John Marshall Harlan High School; he attended Olive Harvey
10 College; and
11 WHEREAS, He was a member of Gethsemane C.O.G.I.C., and he
12 was a dedicated employee of "The Home of the Hoagy"; and
13 WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, James
14 Houston Brooks, Sr., and his brother, Riccardo Christopher
15 Pedro; and
16 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
17 and friends, especially his parents, Donald M. Pedro, M.D.
18 and Lorraine Pedro; his daughter, Shannea Marshae; his
19 granddaughter, Arrion Monae Brytnee; his brothers, Anthony,
20 Donald, Jr., Bruce, and Garnett; and his sisters, Sharon,
21 Ishida, Patrice, Valerie, Laura, and Donna; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
24 and regret the death of James Houston Brooks Pedro and extend
25 our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
26 further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of James Houston Brooks Pedro.
