1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the recent death of John P. Stella, Sr., of Evergreen
4 Park; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Chicago on September 1, 1911; he
6 was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of
7 the Disabled Veterans of America, Tri-centennial Chapter 84;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, He was a resident of Evergreen Park for 42
10 years; he was a retired cabinet maker, and worked for 30
11 years for M. Block and Sons; he worked for Moscickis Realty
12 and then worked with his daughter at the Village View
13 newspaper; and
14 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
15 and friends, especially his wife, Rose M. Stella; his son,
16 John P. Stella, Jr.; his daughter, Annette Dixon; 6
17 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
20 and regret the death of John P. Stella, Sr., and extend our
21 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to his widow, Rose M. Stella.
