1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Frank J. Baley of Stickney; and
4 WHEREAS, Frank Baley was born and lived all his life in
5 Stickney; he began his political career serving as a
6 Democratic precinct captain, knocking on doors in the 1940's
7 and 1950's; and
8 WHEREAS, Frank Baley's first elected position was to the
9 Library Board in Stickney; he was elected Democratic
10 committeeman of Stickney Township in 1965 and continued to
11 remain a member of the Stickney Township Regular Democratic
12 Organization; and
13 WHEREAS, Frank Baley was elected a trustee on the
14 Stickney Village Board, holding that position for 23 years;
15 he was elected village president in 1989; from 1958 to 1991
16 he held various positions with the Cook County assessor's
17 office and the clerk of the Circuit Court, where he served as
18 director of the criminal division; Mr. Baley also worked as
19 an insurance and real estate broker; and
20 WHEREAS, Frank Baley is survived by his wife, Blanche;
21 his daughter, Betsy A. Ginger; his sons, Frank T., Thomas W.,
22 and William A.; his sisters, Nancy Rozhom, Sharon Novak, and
23 Diane Thieda; his brother, Richard, and his four
24 grandchildren; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our sincere
27 sympathies to the family of Frank Baley; may they find
28 comfort in this time of loss; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to the family of Frank Baley.
