1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Cheryl Meyers, who recently passed
4 away; and
5 WHEREAS, Cheryl Meyers was born in Evergreen Park,
6 Illinois; in 1978 she received a Bachelor's degree in Special
7 Education from Illinois State University; Mrs. Meyers worked
8 for the South Metropolitan Association as a traveling special
9 education teacher; and
10 WHEREAS, Cheryl Meyers founded the program "Welcome to My
11 World," designed to teacher children about people with
12 handicaps; she also served on the District 180 School Board
13 for two years and coached softball for the Darien Youth Club;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, Cheryl Meyers and her husband founded
16 Ultra-Graphics Litho, Inc., in the mid-1980s; the printing
17 business began in their home, and recently was operated from
18 an office; Cheryl Meyers served as president and her husband
19 worked in the sales department; and
20 WHEREAS, Cheryl Meyers is survived by her husband,
21 Kenneth; her children, Courtney and Matthew; her parents,
22 Robert and Mary Nowak; her sisters, Linda Clifford and Mary
23 Maxey; her brothers, Robert and Thomas Nowak; three
24 brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; her father-in-law; her
25 mother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our
28 sympathies to the family and friends of Cheryl Meyers of
29 Hinsdale, Illinois; may all that knew her find peace and
30 comfort at this time; and be it further
31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
