1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 extend their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of
4 Marion Beach, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Marion Beach was born in Jersey County on June
6 7, 1920; his parents were Froman A. and Helen (Hunter) Beach;
7 on June 28, 1958 he married Valda Longfellow in St. Charles,
8 Missouri; and
9 WHEREAS, Marion Beach was a graduate of Jersey Township
10 High School; he was a farmer in Jersey County; he was a
11 member of the First Baptist Church; and he was a member of
12 American Legion Post 492, Moose Lodge 695, and Elks Lodge
13 954, all located in Jerseyville; and
14 WHEREAS, Marion Beach served as an agricultural
15 consultant representative for the Cornerstone Bank and Trust
16 in Carrollton; he was a former Jerseyville City Commissioner;
17 and he was co-founder of the Jerseyville Junior Chamber of
18 Commerce; and
19 WHEREAS, Marion Beach is survived by his wife, Valda; his
20 daughters, Patricia L. (Clayton) Voegtle, Diana J. (Charles)
21 Wirth, and Linda S. Voegtle; his stepdaughter, Valda Jeanne
22 Tuetken; his sons, Roger F. Beach and Larry M. Beach; his
23 eight grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his
24 sisters, Helen (Dr. Ralph) Alderson, Demetra (Ray) Cherry,
25 and Donna Ree (Rupert) Bullock; and his brother, Dr. Kenneth
26 (Dorothy) Beach; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29 all that knew him, the death of Marion Beach of Jerseyville,
30 Illinois; may there be peace in this time of need; and be it
31 further
