1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Brent R. Edgerton, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Brent R. Edgerton was born in Los Angeles,
6 California; he received his bachelor's degree from Walla
7 Walla College in Washington and his master's degree in
8 business administration from Crummer School of Business at
9 Rollins College in Orlando; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Edgerton worked in nursing home management
11 and as an administrator at Walker Memorial Hospital in Avon
12 Park, Florida before moving to Illinois; he joined Hinsdale
13 Hospital in April of 1998 as the executive director of the
14 Bolingbrook center and was later promoted to vice president
15 of ancillary and support services; his responsibilities
16 included the management of emergency room physicians and
17 staff at both the hospital and the Bolingbrook facility; and
18 WHEREAS, Brent R. Edgerton enjoyed golf and basketball
19 and was a marathon runner who participated in races in
20 Portland, Oregon and Walt Disney World in Florida; he was a
21 member of the Rotary Club; he was a member of the board at
22 Hinsdale Adventist Academy and was an active member of
23 Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he worked with
24 children's ministries; and
25 WHEREAS, The passing of Brent R. Edgerton will be deeply
26 felt by all who knew him, especially his wife, Debby; his
27 children, Eric, Andrew, and Chrissy; his parents, Glen and
28 Jeanette Edgerton; his brothers, Ron and Kevin; and his
29 sister, Karen Edgerton Mace; therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
31 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1 all who knew him, the passing of Brent R. Edgerton of Burr
2 Ridge, Illinois; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Brent R. Edgerton.
