1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 convey their sincere condolences to the family and friends of
4 John H. Clemonds of Plainview, Illinois, who recently passed
5 away; and
6 WHEREAS, John Clemonds was born in Graniteville, Missouri
7 on December 25, 1922; his parents were John and Grace Carty
8 Clemonds; and
9 WHEREAS, In 1941 John Clemonds and Virginia Fuess were
10 married in St. Charles, Missouri; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Clemonds worked as a bricklayer with
12 Clemonds Brothers in Gillespie; he and his wife owned and
13 operated The Barn restaurant, located near Gillespie, from
14 1966 to 1989; and
15 WHEREAS, John Clemonds was a member of the Moose Lodge in
16 Jerseyville and Bricklayers Local; he served seventeen years
17 on the Carlinville Area Hospital Board; and he served as a
18 Macoupin County precinct committeeman; and
19 WHEREAS, The passing of John Clemonds will be felt by all
20 that knew him, especially his loving wife, Virginia; his
21 daughter, Deanna Demuzio and her husband, Senator Vince
22 Demuzio; his grandson, Brad Demuzio and his wife, Lori; his
23 granddaughter, Stephanie Blair and her husband, Patrick; his
24 great-grandchildren, Blake and Brooke Demuzio and Triston
25 Blair; his brothers, Arden, Kenneth, and James Clemonds; and
26 his sisters, Loretta Pilgrim and Irma Throgmartin; therefore,
27 be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we again offer our
30 sympathies to the family and friends of John H. Clemonds in
31 this time of loss; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of John Clemonds.
