1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the friends and family
4 of Patricia Goldin of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away
5 November 19, 2000; and
6 WHEREAS, Patricia M. Goldin was born on June 3, 1941, in
7 LaSalle, Illinois, to John and Josephine Horzen Foley; and
8 WHEREAS, Patricia Goldin spent the last 25 years working
9 as an office manager for Bradley University's housing
10 department, a job that included mail delivery; each day she
11 would happily stuff letters and packages into students'
12 boxes; she would give candy to students on their birthdays,
13 and for graduating staff members she added bottles of
14 champagne to their stacks of mail at the end of the school
15 year; and
16 WHEREAS, Patricia Goldin was a member of St. Vincent de
17 Paul Catholic Church; and
18 WHEREAS, The passing of Patricia Goldin will be deeply
19 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
20 Kenneth L. Goldin; her mother, Josephine; her daughters,
21 Molly (husband, Paul) Winkler and Kelly (husband, Tony)
22 Stucker; her two grandsons; her brothers, James (wife,
23 Carolyn) Foley and John Foley; and the faculty, staff, and
24 students, both present and former, at Bradley University;
25 therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
28 all who knew her, the death of Patricia Goldin of Peoria,
29 Illinois; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
31 presented to the family of Patricia Goldin.
