(225 ILCS 443/90) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028)
Sec. 90. Continuing education. The Commission may adopt rules of continuing education for persons licensed under this Act. These rules shall be consistent with the requirements of relevant professional associations and training programs and address variances for illness or hardship. In establishing these rules, the Commission may consider continuing education requirements as a condition of membership in organizations in order to assure that licensees are given the opportunity to participate in those programs sponsored by or through the professional associations or interpreter training programs that are relevant to their practice. The Commission shall establish by rule a means for verifying the completion of the continuing education required by this Section. This verification may be accomplished through audits of records maintained by licensees, the filing of continuing education certificates with the Commission, or any other means established by the Commission.
