AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding |
Section 352b as follows:

(215 ILCS 5/352b new) |
Sec. 352b. Policy of individual or group accident and |
health insurance. Unless specified otherwise and when used in |
context of accident and health insurance policy benefits, |
coverage, terms, or conditions required to be provided under |
this Article, "policy of individual or group accident and |
health insurance", as used in this Article, does not include |
any coverage or policy that provides an excepted benefit, as |
that term is defined in Section 2791(c) of the federal Public |
Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300gg-91). Nothing in this |
amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly applies to a |
policy of liability, workers' compensation, automobile medical |
payment, or limited scope dental or vision benefits insurance |
issued under this Code.

Section 10. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by |
repealing Section 356z.16.
