AN ACT concerning education.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections |
10-20.87 and 34-18.85 as follows:

Sec. 10-20.87. Automated external defibrillator; |
attendance centers and extracurricular activities. |
(a) As used in this Section, "automated external |
defibrillator" has the meaning provided in the Automated |
External Defibrillator Act. |
(b) A school district shall require all attendance centers |
to have present during the school day and during a |
school-sponsored extracurricular activity on school grounds at |
least one automated external defibrillator. |
(c) An automated external defibrillator installed and |
maintained in accordance with the Physical Fitness Facility |
Medical Emergency Preparedness Act may be used to satisfy the |
requirements of this Section.
