AN ACT concerning drug courts.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Drug Court Treatment Act is amended by |
adding Section 40 as follows:
|
(730 ILCS 166/40 new) |
Sec. 40. Education seminars for judges. The Administrative |
Office of the Illinois Courts shall conduct education seminars |
for judges throughout the State on how to operate drug court |
programs with a specific emphasis on cases involving the |
illegal possession of methamphetamine.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July |
1, 2005.
