AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Capital Development Board Act is amended by |
changing Section 10.09-5 as follows:
|
(20 ILCS 3105/10.09-5)
|
Sec. 10.09-5. Standards for an energy code. To adopt rules, |
by January 1,
2004, implementing a statewide energy code for |
the construction or repair of
State facilities described in |
Section 4.01. The energy code adopted by the
Board shall |
incorporate standards promulgated by the American Society of
|
Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers, Inc., |
(ASHRAE). In
proposing rules, the Board shall consult with the |
Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity
Community |
Affairs.

Section 10. The Energy
Efficient Commercial Building Act is |
amended by changing Section 10 as follows:

Sec. 10. Definitions.
|
"Board" means the Capital Development Board.
|
"Code" means the latest published edition of the |
International Code Council's International Energy Conservation |
Code, excluding published supplements but including
2000 |
International Energy Conservation Code, the ASHRAE 90.1-1999 |
Standard, which is included within that Code, the 2001
|
supplement to that Code, and the adaptations to the Code that |
are made by the
Board.

"Commercial building" means any building except a building |
that is a residential building, as defined in this Section. |
