AN ACT concerning gaming.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by adding |
Section 18.1 as follows:

Sec. 18.1. Distribution of certain fines. If a fine is |
imposed on an owner licensee for knowingly sending marketing or |
promotional materials to any person placed on the |
self-exclusion list, then the Board shall distribute an amount |
equal to 15% of the fine imposed to the unit of local |
government in which the riverboat is located for the purpose of |
awarding grants to non-profit entities that assist gambling |
addicts.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
|
