AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
amended by adding Section 2310-660 as follows:

Sec. 2310-660. Pharmaceutical manufacturers; transparency |
reports. Upon receipt by the State from the Secretary of the |
United States Department of Health and Human Services, the |
Department of Public Health shall post on its website the |
report required under Section 6002 of the federal Patient |
Protection and Affordable Care Act, H.R. 3590, Pub. L. 111-148, |
containing a summary of information submitted by manufacturers |
and group purchasing organizations to the Secretary pursuant to |
the federal law. The Department of Public Health shall post the |
report by September 30, 2013 and by June 30 of each calendar |
year thereafter, or as soon as possible after the State |
receives the report from the Secretary, whichever occurs first.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
