AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Secretary of State Act is amended by adding |
Section 16 as follows:

(15 ILCS 305/16 new) |
Sec. 16. Quarterly business report. The office of the |
Secretary of State shall issue a quarterly report to the |
General Assembly detailing the number of businesses registered |
with the Secretary of State, the number of new businesses |
incorporating or otherwise forming in Illinois, and the number |
of businesses renewing registrations in Illinois by category, |
including, but not limited to, limited and limited liability |
partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies. |
The report shall include comparable data from the corresponding |
quarter of the previous calendar year and shall reflect any |
increases or decreases. The office of the Secretary of State |
shall publish the report on its website.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
