AN ACT concerning education.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
21B-200 as follows:
|
(105 ILCS 5/21B-200 new) |
Sec. 21B-200. Highly qualified teachers; physical and |
health education. A teacher who teaches physical education or |
health education in the public schools may meet the |
requirements for highly qualified status that apply to teachers |
who teach in core academic subjects pursuant to the federal No |
Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
