AN ACT concerning children.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is amended |
by changing Section 39.2 as follows:

Sec. 39.2. Illinois Children's Justice Task Force. The |
Illinois Children's Justice Task Force, in compliance with (i) |
the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) (42 U.S.C. |
5106c), as amended by Public Law 111-320; (ii) the Victims of |
Crime Act of 1984 (42 U.S.C. 10603), as amended; and (iii) |
Section 116 of the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010, shall be |
charged with the exploration, research, and development of |
recommendations on a multidisciplinary team approach for the |
investigation of reports of abuse or neglect of children under |
the age of 18. |
The Illinois Children's Justice Task Force shall submit a |
report to the General Assembly by January 31, 2016 March 1, |
2015 regarding, but not limited to, its recommendations for a |
statewide multidisciplinary approach to child abuse or neglect |
investigations. The Department of Children and Family Services |
shall continue to provide administrative support to the Task |
Force through the Department's Children's Justice Grant |
