AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 136

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 136, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 2, on page 7, by replacing lines 6 and 7 with the following:

"Section 30. Administration of the Agency. The Agency shall be under the supervision and direction of an Executive Director. The person serving on the effective date of this Act as Library Director, as defined in Section 33 of the Historic Preservation Agency Act, shall become the inaugural Executive Director on the effective date of this Act and shall serve as Executive Director until the expiration of his then-current term as Library Director. Thereafter, the Board shall appoint the Executive Director with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Executive"; and

on page 7, lines 21 and 22, by replacing "Executive Director" each time it appears with "State Historian"; and

on page 8, lines 6, 11, 15, and 17, by replacing "Executive Director" each time it appears with "State Historian"; and

on page 9, line 5, by replacing "Executive Director" with "State Historian"; and

by deleting lines 21 through 24 on page 10; and

by deleting page 11; and

by deleting lines 1 through 8 on page 12; and

on page 12, line 9, by replacing "60" with "55"; and

on page 12, line 13, by replacing "65" with "60"; and

on page 13, line 6, by replacing "70" with "65"; and

on page 13, line 13, by replacing "75" with "70"; and

on page 15, line 23, by replacing "80" with "75"; and

on page 16, line 1, by replacing "85" with "80"; and

on page 17, line 8, by replacing "90" with "85"; and

on page 18, immediately below line 13, by inserting the following:

Section 90. The State Historical Library Act is amended by repealing Section 4.".
