| 4 | | "Section 40. Student outreach program. The Illinois |
| 5 | | Student Assistance Commission, by rule, shall develop and |
| 6 | | implement a program to increase and enhance the efforts of |
| 7 | | institutions in conducting outreach to academically |
| 8 | | high-performing high school seniors in this State who are |
| 9 | | likely to be eligible for automatic admission under Section 15 |
| 10 | | of this Act to provide to those students information and |
| 11 | | counseling regarding the operation of this Act and other |
| 12 | | opportunities, including financial assistance, available to |
| 13 | | those students for success at institutions. Under the program, |
| 14 | | the Commission, after gathering information and |
| 15 | | recommendations from available sources and examining current |
| 16 | | outreach practices by institutions of higher education in this |
| 17 | | State and in other states, shall prescribe best practice |
