| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 485 on page 2, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:

| 4 | | "(b-5) During a period beginning September 1 of the year of |
| 5 | | a general election and ending the day after the general |
| 6 | | election, the proper name or image of any officer or member |
| 7 | | shall not be included in a public announcement on behalf of an |
| 8 | | officer, member, or State agency related to any contract or |
| 9 | | grant awarded by a State agency. Nothing in this subsection |
| 10 | | (b-5) prohibits a State agency from issuing notification of the |
| 11 | | award or grant of a contract, provided the notification does |
| 12 | | not include the proper name or image of any officer or member. |
| 13 | | This subsection (b-5) does not prohibit an officer or member |
| 14 | | from attending any public or private event associated with the |
| 15 | | award or grant of contract or from being included on a list of |
| 16 | | attendees disseminated to the public.".
