AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2388




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2388, AS AMENDED, by 
3replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:

 
5    "Section 1. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended  by adding 
6Section 9.1c as follows:
 
7    (225 ILCS 10/9.1c new)
8    Sec. 9.1c. Public database of day care homes, group day 
9care homes, and day care centers; license status. No later than 
10July 1, 2018, the Department shall establish and maintain on 
11its official website a searchable database, freely accessible 
12to the public, that provides the following information on each 
13day care home, group day care home, and day care center 
14licensed by the Department: whether, within the past 5 years, 
15the day care home, group day care home, or day care center has 
16had its license revoked by or surrendered to the Department

1during a child abuse or neglect investigation or its 
2application for a renewal of its license was denied by the 
3Department, and, if so, the dates upon which the license was 
4revoked by or surrendered to the Department or the application 
5for a renewal of the license was denied by the Department. The 
6Department may adopt any rules necessary to implement this 
7Section. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to allow or 
8authorize the Department to release or disclose any information 
9that is prohibited from public disclosure under this Act or 
10under any other State or federal law.".
