AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2449 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2449, AS AMENDED, in 
3the introductory clause of Section 5, by changing "Section 13" 
4to "Sections 13 and 85"; and  


 
5by inserting at the end of the bill the following:
 
6    "(330 ILCS 63/85 new)
7    Sec. 85. Violations. A violation of this Act constitutes an 
8unlawful practice under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive 
9Business Practices Act.
 
10    Section 10. The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business 
11Practices Act is amended by changing Section 2Z as follows:
 



12    (815 ILCS 505/2Z)  (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 262Z)


13    Sec. 2Z. Violations of other Acts. Any person who knowingly 
14violates

16subsection (k) of Section 6-305 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, 
17Section 11-1431, 18d-115, 18d-120, 18d-125, 18d-135,  18d-150, 
18or 18d-153 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, Article 3 of the 
19Residential Real Property Disclosure Act,  the Automatic 
20Contract Renewal Act, the Reverse Mortgage Act, Section 25 of 
21the Youth Mental Health Protection Act, or the Personal 
22Information Protection Act, or the Illinois Service Member 
23Civil Relief Act  commits an unlawful practice within the 
24meaning of this Act.
