| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 6.5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 330/6.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 6.5. List of individuals that may not be admitted for |
| 8 | | treatment prohibited. The University of Illinois Hospital may |
| 9 | | not maintain a list of individuals that may not be admitted for |
| 10 | | treatment at the University of Illinois Hospital. Nothing in |
| 11 | | this Section shall be construed to prohibit the University of |
| 12 | | Illinois Hospital or a member of the University of Illinois |
| 13 | | Hospital's medical staff from recommending an alternate |
| 14 | | provider, coordinating an appropriate transfer, or arranging |
| 15 | | access to care services that best meets the needs of an |
| 16 | | individual patient.

| 17 | | Section 10. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by adding |
| 18 | | Section 9.7 as follows:
