| 1 | | AN ACT concerning government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
| 5 | | Government Cybersecurity Review Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. Definitions. In this Act: |
| 7 | | "Department" means the Department of Innovation and |
| 8 | | Technology. |
| 9 | | "Division" means the Division of Cybersecurity Inspection. |
| 10 | | "State agency" means any agency under the jurisdiction of |
| 11 | | the Governor.

| 12 | | Section 10. Division of Cybersecurity Inspection. |
| 13 | | (a) The Division of Cybersecurity Inspection is created |
| 14 | | within the Department. |
| 15 | | (b) The Division shall review all websites operated by |
| 16 | | State agencies to determine whether cybersecurity flaws and |
| 17 | | data breach risks exist.

| 18 | | Section 15. Cease and desist orders. If the Division finds |
| 19 | | that a cybersecurity flaw or data breach risk exists, the |
| 20 | | Division may issue an order to the State agency to cease |
| 21 | | operation of the website until the cybersecurity flaw or data |
