     Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and Hospital Licensing Act. Provides that each hospital shall post, in each facility that has an  emergency room, a notice in a conspicuous location in the emergency room with information about how to enroll in health insurance through the Illinois health insurance marketplace.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
  
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
4    Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is 
5amended  by adding Section 6.7 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 330/6.7 new)
7    Sec. 6.7. Health insurance marketplace notices. The 
8University of Illinois Hospital shall post, in each facility 
9that has an  emergency room, a notice in a conspicuous location 
10in the emergency room with information about how to enroll in 
11health insurance through the Illinois health insurance 
12marketplace in accordance with Sections 1311 and 1321 of the 
13federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
 
14    Section 10. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended  by 
15changing Section 6.14c as follows:
 



16    (210 ILCS 85/6.14c)



17    Sec. 6.14c. Posting of information. Every hospital shall 
18conspicuously post
for display in an
area of its offices 
19accessible to patients, employees, and visitors the
following:


20        (1) its current license;


21        (2) a description, provided by the Department, of

1    complaint
procedures established under this Act and the 
2    name, address, and
telephone number of a person authorized 
3    by the Department to receive
complaints;


4        (3) a list of any orders pertaining to the hospital 
5    issued by the
Department during the past year and any court 
6    orders reviewing such Department
orders issued during the 
7    past year; and


8        (4) a list of the material available for public 
9    inspection under
Section 6.14d.

10    Each hospital shall post, in each facility that has an  
11emergency room, a notice in a conspicuous location in the 
12emergency room with information about how to enroll in health 
13insurance through the Illinois health insurance marketplace in 
14accordance with Sections 1311 and 1321 of the federal Patient 
15Protection and Affordable Care Act.
