| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5057 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 11, line 20, by replacing "may" with "may, in its |
| 4 | | discretion,"; and

| 5 | | by replacing line 23 on page 11 through line 2 on page 12 with |
| 6 | | the following:

| 7 | | "third offense. If any violation is the cause or contributing |
| 8 | | cause in a motor vehicle accident causing damage to property, |
| 9 | | injury, or death to a person, the Department may, in its |
| 10 | | discretion, not issue a permit to the person, firm, or |
| 11 | | corporation for a period of one year".
