| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 2-3.142a as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/2-3.142a new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2-3.142a. Mental health services grants. Subject to |
| 8 | | appropriation, the State Board of Education shall develop, |
| 9 | | implement, and administer a program to award grants to school |
| 10 | | districts for the purpose of collaborating with community |
| 11 | | mental health providers to provide mental health services to |
| 12 | | the students of a school district. The State Board shall adopt |
| 13 | | any rules necessary to implement this Section.
