Amends the Chicago School District Article of the School Code. Requires the school board to annually develop and distribute a publicly available report on the reported cases of sexual abuse or sexual assault that occurred on school district property in the previous school year. Effective immediately.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning education.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 34-18.60 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/34-18.60 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 34-18.60. Report; sexual abuse or sexual assault. The |
| 8 | | board must annually develop and distribute a publicly available |
| 9 | | report on the reported cases of sexual abuse or sexual assault |
| 10 | | that occurred on school district property in the previous |
| 11 | | school year. The report shall, at a minimum, be posted on the |
| 12 | | school district's Internet website and in a newspaper of |
| 13 | | general circulation within the district.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law.
