HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Joliet's St. Paul 
4the Apostle's baseball team, the Giants, on winning the 
5Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) 1A title; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Giants rolled to a 15-0 victory in four 
7innings over Monmouth's Immaculate Conception School in the 
8Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A baseball 
9championship game; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Giants capped a 19-1 season by scoring 11 runs 
11in the fourth inning; this is the school's fourth Class 1A 
12title in the past five years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Giants are coached by Pat McGinnis, Mike 
14Melone, and Brad Offerman; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Giants are Zach Bebar, Noah Benton, Max Buza, 
16Jackson Cullen, Finnegan Eleveld, Jake Gahn, Will Gimbel, 
17Martin Guzman, Grant Hertzmann, Jarron Hinchcliffe, Brandon 
18Kowall, Ryan Louthan, Cooper Ohlson, Graham Roesel, and Jimmy 
19Sharp; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The Giants serve as models of hard work,

1integrity, and dedication for the people of the State; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate the St. Paul the Apostle baseball team, the 
6Giants, on winning the Illinois Elementary School Association 
7(IESA) 1A title, and we wish them many more successful seasons; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
10presented to the coaches and members of the St. Paul the 
11Apostle baseball team.
