2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Von M. | ||||||
4 | Moran, who passed away on November 11, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Von Moran was born in Chicago to Charlie Anderson | ||||||
6 | and Ruby Moran on July 18, 1967; he attended Kich Elementary | ||||||
7 | School and Rosa L. Parks Middle School; he graduated from | ||||||
8 | Thornridge High School, where he never missed a day of school | ||||||
9 | and was captain of the band during his senior year; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Von Moran worked at Sherwin Williams Paint Store | ||||||
11 | as a sales representative, at Mercy Health Care & | ||||||
12 | Rehabilitation Center as a dietician, at Al Johnson's Cadillac | ||||||
13 | dealership as a detailer, and at Frozen Food Express as a | ||||||
14 | loader; he then found his passion and earned his commercial | ||||||
15 | driver's license and became an over the road trucker; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Von Moran cherished every vehicle he ever owned, | ||||||
17 | but none as
much as his last vehicle, a green Chevy pickup | ||||||
18 | truck; he loved being the designated driver for all trips and | ||||||
19 | detailing cars; and | ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Von Moran enjoyed collecting pallets, lawn care,
| ||||||
21 | snow removal, and frequent trips at 2am to the refrigerator to |
| |||||||
| |||||||
1 | devour food; he was
affectionately nicknamed "Pig"; he was an | ||||||
2 | avid Chicago White Sox fan; he adored the company of his nieces | ||||||
3 | and nephews and his grandniece and
grandnephews to whom he was | ||||||
4 | their "Great Protector", but most of all he adored
his | ||||||
5 | daughter, Brianna; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Von Moran was preceded in death by his | ||||||
7 | grandparents; his father, Charles Anderson; and his sister, | ||||||
8 | Charlyce Moran
Griffin; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Von Moran is survived by his daughter, Brianna; | ||||||
10 | his loving ex-wife, Kari Pastiak; his beloved mother,
Ruby C. | ||||||
11 | Moran; his brother, Mark (Katharene) Moran; his sisters, | ||||||
12 | Carolyn (Edward) Moran-Hollins and Georgetta
Moran; his | ||||||
13 | brother-cousin, Vinram S. Wade Bey; two aunts; one uncle; and | ||||||
14 | numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and
friends; | ||||||
15 | therefore, be it

16 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
17 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
18 | mourn the passing of Von M. Moran, and extend our sincere | ||||||
19 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
20 | him; and be it further

21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
22 | presented to the family of Von Moran as an expression of our |
